Kurashiki Royal Art Hotel

Staff so helpful and courteous. Able to check in early as room was ready. So much appreciated. Also 1100 am check out. Location excellent. 10 min walk from train and just on edge of historic area a few minutes from the Ohara art gallery. Room old fashioned spaciousness compared to most Japanese hotel rooms. Very clean comfortable bed and linens. Quiet non smoking with wide view. Window opened. Wifi fast reliable Breakfast exceptional. Large number of choices for plant based diet. And fresh fruit. Melon citrus and strawberries. Would highly recommend.

hotel is minutes walk away from the beautiful Historical Quarter and a street over from the lovingly preserved Ohashi house. The decor of the hotel transported you back in time with its luxe Art Deco style and physical room keys. The bedroom was very spacious with a large entryway and a walk-in dressing room area. The bathroom was equally generous with a very large bath, and separate toilet and shower area. The staff were very friendly and so helpful.

Exceptionally convenient location right near the Bikan historical quarter in Kurashiki; very large, comfortable room with lovely, large bathroom; delicious breakfast in the lovely foyer restaurant; and very friendly and helpful staff. In addition to the Bikan historical quarter, the hotel is also next to the Ohashi's house, a beautifully-preserved historical home that is well-worth visiting. It's also next to a couple of fantastic izakaya - I highly recommend "Dada" for dinner, immediately to the side of the hotel. It's also just around the corner from "Taiyaki Honpo", a tiny little shop that makes delicious taiyaki snacks. Highly recommended for the excellent location, comfort and service.

This is an older style hotel and very grand. It had large rooms compared with more modern hotels and a lovely retro feel. It was very clean and comfortable and situated close to the old historic canal district. Our booking included breakfast which was a good buffet style for personal choice. Good value for all this.

The location is just perfect from train station, shopping mall, park, museum, garden. Room atmosphere, spacious, cleaned and quiet to sleep well. Shower, Bath, all good. Breakfast was really good. Parking was allowed. Air conditioning was perfect. View from the room was great.
